Many of our clients have thought that some day they’ll sell their business.
The business is potentially the most valuable asset you’ll ever own, and most of our clients haven’t given enough thought to that. There’s only three ways out of a business. One is, unfortunately, you die. Another is you close the business. It fails for whatever reason, or you don’t get satisfaction any longer and close it. Or, alternatively, someday you sell it. Statistics tell us that only twenty out of a hundred businesses that are on the market ever sell. Unfortunately, of the twenty percent that do sell, only one of them gets the outcome the owner was hoping for. |
